Man United finally seem to be making their way back up to the top and have won their last six consecutive Premier League matches so will be confident away to Aston Villa on Saturday.

Louis van Gaal has seen his men return to peak form as they defeated Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday and this weekend’s game looks like it will be a walk in the (Villa) park.

Paul Lambert’s men have struggled to find their best form this season, winning only two of their last 12 games in all competitions. The Villans will need to be at their best to stand a chance against a resurgent United on Saturday.

Villa managed to get their first home win since August against Leicester City earlier this month but with just five wins so far in the competition they look unlikely to get the better of United at Villa Park.

For starters Paul Lambert’s men have scored only 10 goals so far in the season, fewer than any other League side, so they’ll need to be far more clinical in front of goal.

United struggled early on in their season with defensive issues but Van Gaal’s men have now conceded just three goals in their last six games, proving a much more stalwart back line.

Much of the credit for the Red Devils’ stronger defence can be given to Spanish keeper David De Gea who’s proving to be increasingly reliable in in goal.

United are currently waiting to see if Marcos Rojo is fit to return in time for the game at Villa Park, while they remain without Daley Blind and Luke Shaw. They will, however, be boosted by Radamel Falcao’s first start in several months.
