Paris Saint-Germain head to Camp Nou for the second leg of their Champions League quarter final tie on Tuesday.
A convincing 3-1 victory for Barcelona in the previous meeting last week has put the Catalan giants firmly in the driver’s seat although the Parisians have proved this season that they are a force to count on at any stage.
Even before their impressive win at Parc des Princes in the first leg, Barcelona were backed by many to make it all the way in the competition for the first time since the days of Guardiola in 2011.
The PSG win was Barca’s 12th game without defeat this season and they have been defeated on just four occasions in their past 36 games.
This incredible stretch of form has taken Luis Enrique’s men to the top of the La Liga and within a touching distance of a seventh semi-final appearance in the Champions League in the last eight seasons.
Barca struggled defensively in their 2-0 win over Valencia at the weekend and this is an area that PSG can look to exploit.
“We were not organised and lacked control in the first half (against Valencia) and they put us under pressure,” Barca midfielder, Javier Mascherano, said.
“These are the types of things that we have to overcome and we will analyse it.”
PSG warmed up for the Camp Nou showdown with a 3-1 victory over Nice and they have Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marco Verratti back after missing the first leg due to suspension.
Ibrahimovic, a former Barcelona player, found the back of the net twice in the first half against Bastia, and Cavani did the same in the second to give the Paris giants an easy win in the cup a few weeks ago.
The victory was their third straight in the league and forth if you include their domestic triumph in the League Cup final. They are, however, leaking goals and have only kept one clean sheet in their last six matches in Ligue 1.
A spot in the semi-final of the Champions League for just the second time would mark a progressive improvement from their recent disappointing exits, but with PSG often falling short when they come up against the best, the task of overturning a 3-1 deficit at Camp Nou may simply be too much to overcome.

Barca have lost just one of their last 31 games on home soil in this competition and should have the necessary quality to earn themselves a place in the semi-final.
