Reigning champions, Chelsea are favourites to retain their Premier League title ahead of the 2015-16 season, due to kick off on August 8.

The West London club have been fairly quiet in the market so far, bringing in just Radamel Falcao – on loan – and Asmir Begovic as first-team reinforcements.

The 28-year-old has been speedily procured to replace Petr Cech, who departed for Arsenal at the end of last month, and provide quality back-up to Thibaut Courtois next season. His arrival follows that of Radamel Falcao and adds further depth to a squad that is looking to retain the Premier League title and go further in the Champions League next season.

Chelsea are priced at 6/4 with Betway, while second favourites City are priced at 11/4.

Manchester City splashed the cash on Tuesday by signing England wonderkid Raheem Sterling from Liverpool for £49m.

Although Sterling has just 95 Premier League appearances to his name, he is behind only Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale as the most expensive British signing.

Fellow Premier League title hopefuls Arsenal and Manchester United have also made big additions in the summer transfer market.

Arsenal have signed world class goalkeeper Petr Cech from London rivals Chelsea, tightening up one of their few area of weakness.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have gone on a transfer spree, adding Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin to Louis van Gaal’s squad for a grand total of £77m.

Arsenal can be backed at 9/2 with Paddy Power, while United are as long as 11/2 with Ladbrokes.

Finally, despite being incredibly active in the transfer window, Liverpool are available at a massive 25/1 with Paddy Power.
