Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal have been drawn in the same group for the second season in a row and face each other in their first Champions League match tonight. Want to make some cash on the game? Check out my predictions as well as my top betting tips.

With tonight’s game to be played at Signal Iduna Park, Arsenal will be hoping to make a repeat of last year’s away victory which saw Aaron Ramsey score the only goal.

Dortmund’s 2013 Champions League campaign saw them knocked out to eventual champions Real Madrid in the quarter finals whilst Arsenal lost out to Bayern Munich a round earlier.

Despite the two clubs’ history, Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger is disregarding the idea that their recent meetings might have any impact on this year’s clashes.

“It is not an advantage, it is not a disadvantage, it is just a new fight every time,” Wenger commented. “They are a different team today and England versus Germany are always fierce battles.”

Arsenal’s Premier League campaign has got off to a shaky start, with just one victory over Crystal Palace and three subsequent draws against Everton, Leicester City and Manchester City.

On the other hand Dortmund have won two of their three games in the new Bundesliga season.

It looks likely that Calum Chambers will make his Champions League debut in place of Mathieu Debuchy who had to be stretchered off during the Manchester City clash on Saturday. The defender, who joined from Southampton over the summer also made his England bow earlier this month to contribute to the 1-0 victory over Norway.

In the absence of injured Olivier Giroud, goal-scoring responsibility will fall to new Gunners recruits Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck. Dortmund boss Klopp commented, “They have signed two outstanding players in Sanchez and Welbeck who will give them even more pace. I’m expecting Arsenal to try to utilise this on Tuesday.”

Aaron Ramsey will also need to contribute from midfield to put additional pressure on Dortmund’s defence which is currently weakened by the absence of key players Mats Hummels and Oliver Kirch.

Carl Calls It: Arsenal are odds on to win at 16/5 whilst Alexis Sanchez is your best bet to score, priced 8/1. A £10 bet on Sanchez to score and a Gunners victory at William Hill will return £80.
