Tottenham Hotspur head up to Burnley on Monday in their third round FA Cup fixture and the visitors are firm favourites to win.

Mauricio Pochettino is likely to rotate his side when they travel to Turf Moor to rest some of the first team squad after several games in quick succession over the Christmas period. Roberto Soldado will be given a start to rest star striker Harry Kane who netted two against Chelsea on New Year’s Day.

Mousa Dembele, Paulinho and Benjamin Stambouli also look set to feature while Ryan Mason sustained a hamstring injury in the Chelsea game and is a doubt for Monday’s clash.

Spurs will be brimming with confidence after defeating Chelsea 5-3 last time out and the side are now unbeaten in six games with five wins out of those.

Burnley are second from last in the league right now but their Christmas performances saw them draw against both Newcastle and Man City. That sort of fighting spirit will be useful if they’re to progress to the fourth round of the FA Cup and they’ll have their work cut out against Tottenham, particularly with a lengthy injury list.

Sean Dyche could well be without several of his preferred starting eleven with captain Jason Shackle and midfielder Dean Marney out and Kevin Long a doubt.

If Dyche decides to refresh his line-up we could see appearances from the likes of Sam Vokes, Lukas Jutkiewicz and Marvin Sordell at the front and even back-up keeper Matt Gilks in goal.

The two clubs faced each other in the League last month with Spurs edging a 2-1 win in what was a close tie at White Hart Lane.
