Celtic FC Partners with Mr Green CasinoJake Cooper | 26 Oct 2017
Casino operator Mr Green is all set for another successful sports partnership following a newly inked deal with Scotland’s Celtic FC. The two-year deal will not only see the online and mobile casino as the Glasgow-based football club’s official casino partner, but will also bear fruit in the form of a new branded Slot game.
In terms of the deal, the casino’s branding will appear on LED screens at games played at the 60 000-seater Celtic Park stadium, as well as on the club’s desktop and mobile sites. Previously, the casino enjoyed successful partnerships with Ireland’s Bohemian FC and with Wigan Athletic.
Casino Football Partnership Welcomed
Mr Green CEO Jesper Kärrbrink said the casino was excited about the new partnership deal, and added that Celtic has one of the world’s largest and most committed fan bases. He added that the club’s consistently good performance was impressive, and that it made a perfect partner for the casino.
Celtic’s business development head, Gordon Kaye, said that the club was pleased with the Mr Green partnership. Kaye said he was certain both parties could expect to enjoy a successful relationship with the club’s fans not only at the stadium, but around the UK as well.
Among the perks of the partnership aimed at fans will be opportunities to win tickets to Celtic games during the club’s 2017/18 season, as well as opportunities to win VIP experiences at the Lennoxtown grounds where the club trains.
Mr Green to Develop Exclusive Celtic Slot
One of the more exciting aspects of the Mr Green-Celtic partnership aimed at fans and players is the branded online and mobile Slot to be developed by the casino. The Slot will be available at Mr Green exclusively, and is expected to be released early next year.
According to the casino, the Video Slot will feature the club’s current superstar players as well as players who made their mark over the course of the club’s history.
Casinos Hit the Sports Field
The partnership between Mr Green and Celtic FC is only the latest in a string of casino-sport sponsorships. A number of online casinos have been vying with one another for big-name sports sponsorships and partnerships, both in the UK and further afield.
Earlier this year, LeoVegas was named as Norwich City FC’s principal partner for three seasons, while Royal Panda signed up as Queens Park Rangers’ official front-shirt sponsor. Spain’s Sevilla La Liga team also signed a multi-million dollar sponsorship deal with social gaming company Playtika.
In addition to casino and game branding appearing on club shirts and in stadiums, many of the deals have also given rise to numerous brand activations and exclusive competitions.
