League One side Bradford head to Stamford Bridge this weekend to face a formidable Chelsea side in the FA Cup fourth round clash.

Bradford City boss Phil Parkinson has instructed his men to relish the opportunity to test themselves against Premier League leaders and title-hopefuls Chelsea on Saturday.

The League One side will head to Stamford Bridge where a victory for the visitors would cause the season’s biggest upset to date, with Chelsea still unbeaten at home since April.

Bradford beat Millwall to draw Chelsea in the fourth round, the first time they’ve reached this stage since 2000 when they were in the Premier League. Parkinson is encouraging his side to enjoy the chance to play a top flight team and make the most of what is certain to be a great match.

“The lads have fully earned the right to get this far in the competition and to make the most of a game like this,” Parkinson commented on the official team website. “We will enjoy the preparations and the extra attention that comes with it.

“We’ve come through a tough local fixture at Halifax, beaten Dartford and then overcome a side from the league above us [Millwall, 4-0].

“We now have this fantastic tie to savour against a top team and a top manager. We will be giving it everything we have this week to make sure we play to the very best we can come Saturday.”

Chelsea only managed a 1-1 draw against Liverpool in the League Cup semi-final first leg earlier this week but Jose Mourinho will have a fully fit squad from which to make his selection for Saturday.

Bradford could be boosted by a return of Billy Clarke who has been recovering from a knee injury while Andrew Davies, who suffered a slight injury against Yeovil last weekend.
