Everton have been on better form in recent matches and stand a good chance against Swansea at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Roberto Martinez’s side have climbed several places in the Premier League over the past few weeks thanks to victories against Burnley and Aston Villa.

Former Chelsea strikers Samuel Eto’o and Romelu Lukaku have been on top form, scoring seven goals between them to aid Everton’s rise to ninth in the table after a shaky start to the season.

Martinez praised the partnership between the two players adding, “Lukaku is really sharp in front of goal, we need to make sure he peaks physically in the coming weeks.”

The more experienced Eto’o scored the opener against Burnley last weekend as well as another late curl that secure Everton’s 3-1 victory.

Swansea boss Garry Monk has targeted Eto’o as the main threat his side will face in the weekend’s clash.

“He’s got a proven pedigree, he’s played at some of the top clubs in the world,” said Monk. “The hunger is still there – it’s a very good signing.”

While Monk may be somewhat daunted by the prospect of Everton’s goal-scoring duo, Martinez is himself not underestimating the challenge posed by Swansea.

“Swansea have got really good options all over the park,” said the Everton boss. “Gylfi Sigurdsson seems to have a good understanding with all the attacking players.

“He and Wilfried Bony are the two players in form but they’re not the only two players who carry a threat. We need to be aware of that.”

Martinez will have his pick of players with Ross Barkley looking fit to return after two games’ rest and Eto’o, Lukaku and Steven Naismith all in good form.

Everton remain without Kevin Mirallas and John Stones who are absent due to hamstring and ankle injuries respectively.

Swansea are set to play a strong line-up with Sigurdsson’s groin injury from last Saturday’s clash not serious and Lukasz Fabianski, Wayne Routledge and Wilfried returning after being rested for the midweek game at Anfield.

With Everton on an upwards trajectory in the Premier League they could have the momentum to take the win, particularly with the home advantage. Everton to win and both teams to score is well priced at 13/5 at Betway.

SkyBet has some great goalscorer markets and Romelu Lukaku and Samuel Eto’o to both score looks attractive at 7/2.
