Leicester City have their work cut out for them on Saturday when they host last year’s Premier League champions Manchester City.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men had been trailing leaders Chelsea by eight points after a 2-2 draw at QPR a month ago and looked likely to face a shock early exit from the Champions League this week, before miraculously turning their luck around in both competitions.

City have since won six games across all competitions and even performed well without star striker Sergio Aguero who is out for several weeks with a knee injury.

The Citizens are now just three points behind Chelsea and approach their clash with Leicester in top form having secured their place in the last 16 of the Champions League with a well-earned 2-0 victory at Roma in the week.

James Milner commented, “We started the season sloppily, but since the last international break we have hit form and got results.

“We have played well in some games and not so well in others, but still managed to grind out the results and that is massively important.”

Although Aguero is out for the count, Pellegrini will be pleased to welcome back Vincent Kompany and Yaya Toure for the game at the King Power Stadium.

In stark contrast to the visitors, Leicester approach Saturday’s clash in poor form having now gone 10 matches without a single win.

The Tigers have picked up just two points since they defeated Man United in a shock 5-3 victory in September and even a win at the weekend wouldn’t be enough to lift them out of the relegation zone.

Nigel Pearson will be relieved to welcome back captain Wes Morgan from suspension and received good news as Paul Konchesky’s red card was rescinded.

Leicester remain without Zoumana Bakayogo and Matthew Upson and Dean Hammond are still doubts for Saturday’s clash.

Manchester City are the clear favourites to win at the King Power Stadium but at 2/5 (Betway) you won’t make much money from the straight win.

For better returns, Betway has good odds on a 2-1 City victory at 8/1 while Sky Bet has Samir Nasri to score first at 6/1.
