Chelsea travel to Old Trafford on Sunday to face a Man United side finally finding form, but will the hosts be the team to finally tarnish Chelsea’s unbeaten season? Read my predictions and betting tips below to find out.

In 2013 Alex Ferguson claimed the last of his 13 titles and retired as Manchester United’s manager in a season where Chelsea were 14 points off the mark and merely a footnote in the season.  A little over a year later and a lot has changed as Jose Mourinho’s side remain unbeaten so far this season and Manchester United have gotten off to a mixed start.

United have recorded three wins, three draws and two losses in their eight matches so far this season. Their last fixture was on Monday where they drew 2-2 against West Brom. Despite taking only a single point from the game, the side looked more promising than they have in recent outings and second half goals from Marouane Fellaini and Daley Blind secured a well-deserved draw for them.

Meanwhile Chelsea approach this weekend on the back of an impressive 6-0 victory against Maribor in their midweek Champions League fixture and a 2-1 defeat over Crystal Palace last weekend.

United haven’t managed to beat Chelsea in their previous six matches but there are some who think this could be the weekend that all changes.

Michael Carrick and Angel Di Maria were both doubts for United but both have now returned to full training. Van Gaal will be without Antonio Valencia and Jonny Evans, however, who are still injured and Wayne Rooney who is serving a suspension.

The Blues will be without two of their key strikers – Diego Costa and Loic Remy – but they’ve proven in their past few games that they can cope without the wizardry of Costa at the front.

Man United vs Chelsea Betting Tips

Chelsea are the favourites in this clash but there isn’t a huge amount between the two teams.

I’d put my money on Chelsea to win with both teams to score for 7/2 at Betway.

William Hill has a 3-1 Chelsea victory priced at 18/1 whilst they also have the most competitive goal scorer odds with Didier Drogba at 6/1 to score the first goal.
