Mika Hakkinen Named as Unibet AmbassadorJake Cooper | 19 Apr 2017
Premium Kindred Group-owned online sports betting brand Unibet has just enlisted its newest brand ambassador. Mika Hakkinen, the massively popular two time F1 World Championship winner, has become the latest face of Unibet to promote the online bookmaker’s wide range of bets and exciting global markets.
The Finnish F1 racer will play something of an insider role for the company, overseeing the creation of brand new and exclusive advertisements and media content for Unibet’s punters. Hakkinen will also offer bettors a closer and more personal look at the world of F1 racing.
The content that the new face of Unibet is set to produce is rumoured to include his thoughts before partaking in races, and analyses of his actions during each event. The racer himself announced the new deal to his fans through Twitter, saying that he is proud to be able to join Unibet and offer them some insight into the upcoming racing season.
Hakkinen Announces New Unibet Partnership on Twitter
Hakkinen also noted that Unibet is a top provider of online sports betting and that he is pleased to be a part of their team. The two-time F1 winner revealed that many of the facets of Formula One racing that fans don’t get to see will be included in his new content, allowing them to experience it firsthand through his expert experiences.
The unveiling of Hakkinen’s brand ambassador status has come just as the 2017 F1 Tournament began in Australian capital Melbourne. This year will be the first since 1994 in which legendary racer Nico Rosberg will no longer be appearing in the tournament, thanks to his outright win and shock retirement last year.
It should also be noted that Unibet is not the first major brand that Mika Hakkinen has represented. The racer has had a fruitful career since he entered F1 racing in 1993, becoming the face of McLaren in the industry in 1997 and 1998, and then moving on to acting as an ambassador for Johnnie Walker whiskies, Mercedes Benz AMG, and other notable brand names.
Unibet Expected To Announce More Exciting Deals
Mika Hakkinen is just one of many recent ambassadors to join the Unibet team this year. Earlier in February, the company’s online poker arm signed on three world-famous pro poker players as ambassadors for its casino gaming brand.
Irish poker duo David Lappin and Dara ‘Doke’ O’Kearney teamed up with English champion Ian Simpson for the role, and all of them, like Hakkinen, are active on social media to offer Unibet’s players and bettors insights into their fascinating industries.
With so many new ambassadorial contracts, Unibet is expected to roll out many more exciting announcements and partnerships throughout the year to keep offering their players the best of betting and gaming action.
