QPR vs Liverpool Betting Tips

Queen’s Park Rangers take on Liverpool this Sunday at Loftus Road but can the hosts scrape any points to help them move up the table? Here are our thoughts and betting tips ahead of the game.

Harry Redknapp’s side is looking in good form with only Alejandro Faurlin side-lined (ligament injury), although Joey Barton is something of a question mark going into the game, pending further assessment.

Nedum Onohua is likely to be switched out after scoring an own goal in QPR’s 2-0 loss at West Ham before the international break, otherwise the side is likely to line up much the same as they host Liverpool at home.

For Liverpool Brendan Rodgers looks set to start Daniel Sturridge on Sunday following his recovery from a thigh injury, with Mario Balotelli joining him at the front.

Jon Flanagan is out for another month at least after undergoing surgery on his knee, but in better news Emre Can and Joe Allen have both been seen back in training this week.

Dejan Lovren withdrew from his international fixture for Croatia at the weekend with abdominal problems but is expected to start for Liverpool on Sunday. Lazar Markovic remains a doubt however after having limped away from Serbia’s 1-1 draw with Armenia.

Raheem Sterling is the subject of a row regarding tiredness between Roy Hodgson and Brendan Rodgers and the two bosses will be meeting at some point after the game at Loftus Road. Sterling was out of the starting line-up for England’s qualifier against Estonia on Sunday but game off the bench during the game.

Rodgers will certainly feature Sterling at some point against QPR but will most likely start him on the bench.

QPR’s lack of quality both in attack and defence this season mean that it might take something of a miracle for a win here.

Liverpool on the other hand secured a win against West Brom before the international break which should act as a confidence boost after a mixed start to the season. Liverpool feel as if they’re yet to hit full stride but a win here could boost them up to within the top 4.
