Luis Suarez makes his debut for Barcelona against Real Madrid on Saturday in a game that sees some the world’s greatest footballers face off against each other. The latest hugely anticipated El Clasico clash looks set to be the most exciting La Liga game this season.

The Uruguayan striker made his move from Liverpool to Barcelona in the summer but has yet to play a competitive game for his new club due to a four-month ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini during the World Cup.

Suarez scored 31 goals in 33 Premier League appearances for the Reds last season and will be hoping to deliver similarly impressive results at his new club.

Barca’s Lionel Messi will also be looking to score against Real as he’s just two goals short of becoming La Liga’s top scorer of all time.

A win against Real would give Barcelona a strong lead in La Liga as they already sit three points clear of Sevilla at the top of the table with 22 points. Real Madrid are third with 18 points.

Carol Ancelotti’s side will be hoping to disrupt Barca’s unbeaten season and they stand a good chance with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and James Rodriguez all in top form following their impressive Champions League win against Liverpool on Wednesday. Los Blancos won 3-0 at Anfield which means they remain at the top of Group B having won all of their games so far.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is determined to get the win over last year’s Champions League winners and has been making some drastic changes to the side since taking over as manager earlier this year.

Defender Dani Alves believes that Enrique’s new ideas are inspiring and motivating the team to be the best they can be.

“We live for games like this,” said Alves. “We are assimilating the boss’ ideas very well. We have a very clear idea about what we want and we seem to be getting better and better.”

Barcelona beat Ajax 3-1 at home on Tuesday in a Champions League group game that saw Neymar and Messi score.
