Skrill Signs Sponsorship Deal With LA10Payment providers play an important role in the online gambling industry. One of the most prominent payment solutions providers operating in the global market today, namely Skrill, has announced a major sponsorship deal in favour of Los Angeles-based LA10 Football Club. Backed by big-time Italian footballer Alessandro Del Piero, the FC was launched in September of last year.

Skrill, a digital online wallet provider owned by the PaySafe group will, thanks to the sponsorship agreement, be in a position to apply its branding and logo on the front of the players’ club jerseys.

Building On Existing Relationships

In addition to the many shared benefits that will be enjoyed by both parties thanks to a linked social media presence, the partnership will also strengthen the working relationship between the payment provider and Del Piero. The football legend has been working with the payment provider since last year, and the nature of the relationship is one of brand-association and promotion.

According to Skrill CEO Lorenzo Pellegrino, the company is excited about the new sponsorship partnership, especially having worked closely alongside Del Piero for quite some time now. Pellegrino said that it had been an absolute pleasure, and that the company did not doubt that the new venture would prove as valuable as every other initiative backed by the former football legend in the past.

Despite no longer playing club football, the Italian is widely regarded as one of world football’s ultimate superstars and a legend in his own right.

Shared Work Ethics

Del Piero, on his part, has said that he was happy to embark on a brand new venture in partnership with Skrill. He said that he was particularly impressed by the impressive way in which the payment provider took care of its customers and partners and its unique approach towards building business relationships.

Most people will remember Del Piero most prominently from his having won the FIFA World Cup as part of the Italian team in 2006. LA10 will offer a superb public platform for Skrill, and the team will compete in the United Premier Soccer League later this year.
