West Ham vs Manchester City | Saturday 25 October | Boleyn Ground | Kick Off: 12:45

Second placed Manchester City travel to the Boleyn Ground to take on fourth placed West Ham this Saturday in what is an eagerly awaited clash.

The Hammers will be keen to make a statement to the rest of the League by toppling Manuel Pellegrini’s high flying Citizens side.

With three wins and two losses from their last 6 Barclays Premier League fixtures, West Ham need to make full use of home ground advantage and the passionate support of their fans in the stands in order to close the gap between themselves and next placed Southampton.

City will arrive bristling with confidence following their 4-1 annihilation of Spurs at the Etihad Stadium.

Sergio Aguero was in scintillating form in that game, finding the back of the net four times, and will again be one of Pellegrini’s trump cards at the Boleyn Ground.

The Argentinian has racked up 9 goals this season has been a constant menace for opposing defences, how West Ham handle him could determine the result on Saturday.

Pellegrini was happy with his charges after the Spurs game remarking, “It’s a very good victory for us. We played well, we scored four goals and I don’t know how many chances we had.”

He will be hoping for a great deal of converted chances on Saturday as he goes in search of the three points that would take him within touching distance of Chelsea at the top of the log.

City vs West Ham Predictions

While West Ham will have home ground advantage and a huge boost from their own partisan fans getting behind them, City look too strong for The Citizens at this stage of the season.

City’s recent form and strike power up front give them the edge in this clash and you can back them to win by a score line of 2-1. Look out for Sergio Aguero too as an anytime scorer option following his outstanding recent form for City.
