What Happened Last Year?

In 2017, Wentworth Club hosted the 63rd edition of the tournament. The par 72 West Course proved to be an exciting ground for competitors from Africa, North America, South America, Asia and Europe. In the final round, it was the Italian Francesco Molinari who was at the top of the leader board with a clear run to the finish. His plans were thwarted by Swedish golfer Alex Noren. Finding himself seven shots behind the leader, Noren carded a final round of 62 to win by 2 shots. Previous winners include Chris Wood, An Byeong-hun and Rory McIlroy.
