The UEFA Champions League is one of the most prestigious football leagues in the world. The European Club competition sees only the best clubs from the UK and Europe compete in the tournament group stage, knockout stage and the finals.
We are currently in the final stages of the competition with four teams battling it out in the semi-finals. There is one game left before the two finalists meet in Madrid for the ultimate showdown. For sports bettors, the game is a great opportunity to get in on the action.
Current Team Standings
The UEFA Champions League semi-finals got underway on the 30th of April, with Ajax taking on Tottenham Hotspur in the first leg. Despite having the home advantage, Tottenham lost the game 0-1. The second semi-final match took place on the 1st of May with Barcelona taking on Liverpool at Camp Nau. The home team executed a convincing win with 3 goals to 0. The second leg of the semi-finals will be played on the 7th and 8th of May, with Ajax and Liverpool having home advantage.
Details for the Final
The UEFA Champions League Final will be played on the 1st of June 2019. The stadium hosting the event will be the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid. While we have yet to find out which teams will book their spot in the finals, we can surmise from past performances. It is perhaps not far-fetched to say that Ajax will win at home and Barcelona will have to lose by more than 3 goals to be sent home.
