2019 London Sevens

Jake Cooper - 24 Apr 2019

The 2018/2019 HSBC Sevens Tournament is in full swing, with six of the ten tournaments already played. In the past few months we have seen some amazing rugby action with some of the teams displaying new levels of performance, while old favourites have faded from the spotlight. Coming up at the end of May is one of the highlights of the series, in the form of the London Sevens. Held at the famous Twickenham stadium, it is the second last leg of the tour and usually offers the most action.

The Current Championship Standings

This year, the breakout stars of the series has been the USA who top the log with one first place finish, and four second place finishes. They are just a few points clear of the New Zealand who are looking to claim the title after finishing in third last year. Fiji is just behind them while last year’s Champions South Africa are much further down, in fourth place. All four teams still have a shot at the title with loads of points up for grabs.
